The EU ambassador to Afghanistan has called for a halt to house-to-house efforts by the Taliban

The EU ambassador to Afghanistan has said that the Taliban’s house-to-house searches should be stopped immediately.
“Intimidation, house searches, arrests and violence against members of different ethnic groups and women are crimes and must be stopped immediately,” EU Ambassador Van Brandt tweeted.
“Despite Putin’s war, we are watching you,” he wrote to the Taliban.
In recent days, the Taliban have launched house-to-house operations in Parwan, Kapisa and parts of Kabul.
Pictures posted on social media show that Taliban forces, in house-to-house raids, even searched the women’s clothing box and broke the locks on the gates.
Zabihullah Mujahid, deputy minister of information and culture and Taliban spokesman, told a news conference in Kabul yesterday that the move was made to provide more security.
