Pakistan sends 50,000 tonnes of wheat to Afghanistan

Taliban officials say the Pakistani government is providing 50,000 tonnes of wheat to the Afghan people.
Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid tweeted that Pakistan had promised Afghanistan 50,000 tonnes of wheat as part of its aid to the Afghans, with a shipment of 3,600 tonnes arriving in Nangarhar yesterday.
A Taliban spokesman added: “We welcome the assistance of Pakistan’s brotherly country and call for more cooperation.”
Meanwhile, a consignment of Indian auxiliary wheat has recently arrived in Afghanistan via Pakistan.
