In a meeting with Filippo Grande, Abdullah called for increased humanitarian aid to Afghanistan

During his visit to Kabul this morning, the UN High Commissioner for Refugees met with the chairman of the former government’s High Council for National Reconciliation.

Dr. Abdullah, chairman of the Supreme National Reconciliation Council of the former Afghan government, said in a meeting with Filippo Grande, the UN High Commissioner for Refugees, that humanitarian aid to Afghanistan should be increased in the current difficult situation.

He cited Filippo Grande’s visit as a sign of UN attention to the Afghan people.

The UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) also said that he had come to Kabul to discuss challenges related to the humanitarian situation in the country, especially the situation of refugees.

However, as a result of recent developments in the country, a large number of citizens have been displaced, and according to reports, their number now reaches 6 million.
