The UN Secretary-General has welcomed the reopening of schools in Afghanistan in less than a week.

UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres tweeted that the announcement of the reopening of schools in Afghanistan must be implemented.

“I welcome the Taliban’s announced plan to reopen schools for girls and boys on March 22, and now it must be approved and implemented,” he wrote. “All the doors must be left open for girls and boys to reach their potential talents.”

Meanwhile, the Taliban have recently announced that girls ‘and boys’ schools will reopen across the country on the third day of the month of 1401 AH.
