The 2022 Doha Assembly Award was given to the Afghan Robotics Team

Tamim bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, the current Emir of Qatar, presented the 2022 Doha Assembly Award to Roya Mahboob, head of the Afghan girls’ robotics team.
The Doha Assembly in 2022 began on Saturday with the presence of the Emir of Qatar, officials of a number of countries and continues for two days.
“I am very happy and proud to receive this prestigious award,” wrote Roya Mahboub, head of the Afghan girls’ robotics team.
Two months ago, the Afghan girls’ robotics team won second place among 88 countries in PCB The Change global competitions.
The 2022 Doha Assembly Award will be presented to Afghanistan’s robotic girls team as more than one million female students have dropped out of school due to the Taliban’s recent decision to close secondary schools and girls’ high schools.
