Qatar and Indonesia sign agreement on humanitarian aid to Afghanistan

The Foreign Ministers of Qatar and Indonesia signed a cooperation agreement to provide humanitarian assistance to the people of Afghanistan.

The Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdul Rahman Al-Thani, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar, met with Indonesian Foreign Minister Retno Lestari Mersudi on the sidelines of the Doha Summit.

A statement from the ministry said that the two sides signed a cooperation agreement to provide humanitarian assistance to the Afghan people and stressed the need to work together to provide humanitarian assistance to the Afghan people.

According to the declaration, the two countries aim to sign a co-operation mechanism to strengthen the role of women in Afghanistan’s development and to support the capabilities of the Afghan people.

Qatar and Indonesia have also agreed to provide scholarships to Afghan students and pledged to work to change and improve the situation of Afghan women.
