Mottaqi arrived in Beijing to attend the third meeting of Afghanistan’s neighbors

The head of the Taliban’s foreign ministry, led by a delegation from the group, arrived in Beijing, the capital of China, to attend the third meeting of Afghanistan’s neighbors.
Hafiz Zia Ahmad, deputy spokesman for the Taliban’s foreign ministry, said acting minister Amir Khan Mottaqi was scheduled to meet with a number of regional officials on the sidelines of the meeting.
According to him, Mottaqi will attend the meeting at the official invitation of China.
A Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman has previously said that his country will host the third meeting of Afghanistan’s neighbors on Afghanistan today and tomorrow (Wednesday and Thursday).
He added that China hopes the summit will increase global support, while at the same time urging the international community to take the real responsibility for rebuilding Afghanistan.
