Unidentified gunmen killed one person in Faryab

Local sources in Faryab say unidentified gunmen killed a 50-year-old man last night in Maimana, the provincial capital.

Sources named the man as Abdul Ahad Bai and said he was killed while watering his garden.

Security sources in Faryab also confirmed the incident, saying that two people had been arrested in connection with the case and that further investigations were under way.

However, the motive for the murder is still unknown.

It is noteworthy that there has been a recent increase in targeted killings, criminal offenses and armed robberies in the provinces of Afghanistan.
