A traffic accident in Nuristan led to the death and injury of 17 people

Local sources in Nuristan say 17 people were killed and injured in a traffic accident in the province.

Taliban governor’s spokesman for Nooristan, Saifuddin Leton, said the accident happened as a result of a car overturning yesterday in the village of Malil Mushafa in Nogram district.

According to him, 3 people were killed and 14 others were injured as a result of this traffic accident.

The spokesman for the governor of Nuristan added that the victims were people who had gone to Nogram district to get help from the World Food Program.

He added that the injured were taken to Laghman and Nangarhar hospitals and that the condition of six of them was critical.
