Four people were arrested in Kandahar on charges of killing two children

Local Taliban officials in Kandahar say four people have been arrested for killing two children in the province.
Mohammad Asif Hakimi, a spokesman for the Taliban’s police chief in Kandahar, said the four people had killed two children two days earlier and had been detained by forces in Kandahar’s Seventh District.
According to him, the detainees killed a child in his house two days ago in the Black Crossroads area of Kandahar’s Panjwai district and confessed to their crime after their arrest.
A spokesman for the Taliban’s Kandahar police headquarters did not elaborate on the cause of the child’s death, saying the four had been handed over to the judiciary.
