Six Taliban insurgents were killed in an internal clash in Takhar

Local sources in Takhar say six Taliban insurgents have been killed in a clash between the group in the province.

According to these sources, the clash took place between two senior Taliban commanders, Ghulam Hussein Mobarez and Ismail Farooqi.

The sources added that as a result of this clash, several members of this group were injured.

The clash was said to have been sparked by differences between the two Taliban commanders.

So far, however, Taliban officials have not commented.
