The UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) says Afghans are now facing a serious food crisis and malnutrition.
Expressing concern over the situation of the Afghan people, the organization tweeted yesterday that many children have been forced to drop out of school to work hard to support their families.
The UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) has previously expressed concern about the situation of women and children in Afghanistan, saying they are bearing the brunt of the humanitarian crisis in the country.
Stating that millions of Afghans have fled their homes to find adequate food and shelter, the agency added that strong support from donors is vital and that women and girls in Afghanistan should have access to rescue assistance.
The agency added that millions of Afghan citizens, including children, are facing malnutrition.
