The sound of clashes and explosion has been heard in different parts of Mazar-e-Sharif

Local sources in the capital of Balkh province say that the sound of clashes was heard in the areas of the southern gate of the shrine and around the third security district of Mazar-e-Sharif near the Pakistani consulate.
Mohammad Asif Vaziri, spokesman for the Balkh Police Command, also confirmed the clashes in Mazar-e-Sharif, saying they had received reports of clashes near the Pakistani consulate, but said that the report was inaccurate and that investigations were under way.
Meanwhile, some sources have said that clashes took place between people close to Atta Mohammad Noor and Taliban near Atta Mohammad Noor’s guest house.
Meanwhile, a powerful explosion took place inside the Shiite mosque in downtown Mazar-e-Sharif this afternoon, killing and injuring dozens.
ISIL has claimed responsibility for the blast.
