The death toll from an explosion at a Shiite mosque in Mazar-e-Sharif has risen

Health officials in Mazar-e-Sharif, the capital of Balkh province, say 31 people have been killed and 87 injured in an explosion at the Seh Dokan mosque in the city center yesterday.

However, ISIL claimed responsibility for yesterday’s explosion.

According to AFP, the ISIS group told a newsletter that a fighter of that group had taken a box full of explosives with him inside the mosque and blew it up.

However two days ago Kabul, also witnessed three explosions in two Shiite training centers, killing 126 people and injuring 73 others.
