A shipment of Pakistani aid to the victims of the recent floods has reached Mazar-e-Sharif

Pakistan’s ambassador to Afghanistan says his country’s aid shipment to those affected by the recent floods has reached Mazar-e-Sharif, the capital of Balkh province.

Mansour Ahmad Khan, Pakistan’s ambassador to Afghanistan, tweeted that the aid included a tent, food and medicine, which was flown to Mazar-e-Sharif by military plane today.

He stressed that another shipment of the aid would be sent to Afghanistan in the coming days, adding that the humanitarian aid was sent to the Afghan people under the leadership of Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif.

Meanwhile, the Pakistani Prime Minister tweeted that he called on the international community to continue providing assistance to Afghanistan, saying that his country would support the Afghan people.

Recent floods in most of the northern provinces have left huge financial and human losses to the people of those provinces.
