The Meteorological Department warned of heavy rains and floods in 10 provinces of the country

The Meteorological Department of Afghanistan warned of the possibility of heavy rains with lightning and flash floods in 10 provinces of the country.

The department said in a statement that relatively heavy rains with lightning and flash floods were forecast in Badghis, Ghor, Faryab, Jawzjan, Sar-e-Pul, Balkh, Samangan, Baghlan, Takhar and Badakhshan provinces.

The department estimates rainfall in different parts of the province at between 20 and 40 millimeters.

A few days ago, as a result of heavy rains and floods in some northern provinces of the country, the residents of these provinces suffered financial and human losses.
