A Taliban insurgent was killed by gunmen in Faryab

Sources in Faryab say unidentified gunmen have killed a Taliban force in the province.

According to Salam Watandar, the sources said that the incident took place in Almar district of the province and that gunmen shot dead a Taliban member.

According to sources, the victim was named Shahuli, who was in charge in the Almar district command in Faryab province.

Gunmen are said to have fled the area after killing the Taliban member.

However, local Taliban officials have not yet commented.
