Taliban: Passport distribution process for Hajj applicants is accelerating

The Taliban Interior Ministry has announced that the process of distributing passports to Hajj applicants has become easier this year.

A statement from the Taliban Interior Ministry said that the Ministry of Hajj and Religious Affairs and the General Directorate of Passports had signed a memorandum of understanding to speed up the distribution of passports to Hajj applicants in Kabul and other provinces this year.

The statement added that the Ministry of Hajj and Endowments is obliged to share the list of all those who have registered with the ministry with the General Directorate of Passports in order to distribute passports to them.

However, after the fall of the previous Afghan government, the demand for passports in the country increased and the process of distributing passports was stopped several times for various reasons.
