The Turkmen magazine Gurush was closed in Afghanistan

Gurush Magazine, published in Turkmen in Afghanistan, was shut down by the current government.

Gurush Magazine was the only government-run cultural magazine in Afghanistan, published in Turkmen in eight provinces and 35 districts with predominantly Turkmen ethnic groups.

The magazine was first established in 1987 and published in Turkmen, and Turkmen poets, writers and politicians published their works in their own language.

The magazine played a major role in promoting Turkmen history and culture to the world, but after the Taliban came to power, the group decided to censor the magazine first and then close it.
