Doctors at Khost Provincial Hospital went on strike for not receiving their salaries

Doctors and staff at the provincial hospital and a number of other hospitals in Khost province have gone on strike over non-payment of their salaries.

In an interview with Salam Watandar, Fazl Karim Mandozi, director of public health in Khost province, confirmed the strike by health workers in the province and said that the problem would be completely resolved within ten days.

Meanwhile, a number of doctors who have gone on strike say they have not been paid for several months.

Doctors and health workers have already gone on strike in most provinces of the country for not receiving their salaries.

However, due to the economic crisis in Afghanistan after the fall of the previous government, most of the country’s hospitals are currently short of equipment and medicine.
