Thomas West met with Tajik officials

The US Special Representative for Afghanistan has met with the President and some other Tajik officials to discuss the start of a comprehensive political process in Afghanistan.

US Special Representative for Afghanistan Thomas West wrote on Twitter that he had met with Tajik President Imam Ali Rahman, Foreign Minister and Commander of the Border Forces.

He added that he agrees with Tajikistan on starting a comprehensive political process in Afghanistan.

The US Special Representative for Afghanistan has previously met with Uzbek officials in Tashkent, followed by politicians from the former Afghan government in Istanbul.
