The process of distributing new uniforms for the Afghan police has begun

The Taliban Interior Ministry has announced that the process of distributing uniforms to ANP has begun.
A Taliban interior ministry statement quoted Abdul Nafi Takur, a spokesman for the ministry, as saying that 20,000 new uniforms were being prepared and would be distributed to police in Kabul and Kandahar provinces, bringing the number to nearly 100,000 in the near future.
An Interior Ministry spokesman said an Afghan company had been contracted to produce the uniforms, which was 75 percent cheaper than the previous government uniform.
The Taliban police force did not yet have a uniform and wore former government army uniforms or local uniforms.
