Heavy snowfall in Kunar killed 12 children

Officials in Kunar say 12 children have died as a result of heavy snowfall in the province.

According to the Bakhtar state news agency, officials in Kunar say that 12 children have been killed and hundreds of livestock have been lost as a result of heavy snowfall in the Diogol valley of Woki district in the province.

According to them, rescue teams have been sent from the center of Kunar province to the affected areas.

On the other hand, sources in Nuristan report the loss of more than two thousand livestock as a result of snowfall in the province.

According to them, the shepherds had brought their cattle from Laghman, Nangarhar and Kunar provinces to the forests of Nuristan, which were lost as a result of heavy snowfall.
