The Council of Shiite Ulema called on the Taliban not to harm civilians in the Balkhab war

As clashes escalated in Balkhab district of Sar-e-Pul province, the Shia Ulema Council of Afghanistan issued a statement stressing that civilians should not be harassed in the clashes.
A statement issued by the council stressed that the warring parties in Balkhab should not endanger the lives, property, honor and dignity of the civilian population.
The council added: “For some time now, the signs of violence in Balkhab district of Sar-e-Pul province could be analyzed and caused concern, so due to the request of Balkhab ulema and students from the Shia Ulema Council of Afghanistan to try to prevent War in Balkhab This council elected a delegation.
Meanwhile, the clash between Maulvi Mehdi Mujahid and Taliban forces in Balkhab district of Sar-e-Pul province has reached its third day.
