The United Nations expressed concern over the closure of schools for girls

The United Nations has expressed concern over the fact that girls are not allowed to go to school in Afghanistan, calling it a violation of human rights by the Taliban.
In a report published by the United Nations Deputy Mission (UNAMA), it is stated that locking women and girls in their homes prevents this country from progressing.
Marks Putzel, Deputy Special Envoy of the Secretary General of the United Nations in Afghanistan, said: “Girls’ education is one of the issues that UNAMA has clarified with the authorities of this country; the participation of women and girls in all social fields and for the development and progress of Afghanistan to The title of a country is fundamental and confining girls and women within the framework of the house deprives them of their basic human rights and also the significant contribution they can make in Afghanistan.
In a part of the UNAMA report, criticizing the activities of the Ministry of Good and Prohibition of Evil and the Ministry of Interior of the Taliban, it is stated: “Many of the orders of the Ministry of Good and Prohibition of Evil limit the human rights and freedoms of Afghans, especially women and girls. Although such instructions are said to be of a recommendatory nature, in some cases the governing authorities have taken a harsh stance on their implementation, including corporal punishment for alleged violations of these instructions.
But the spokesperson of the Taliban says that this decision depends on the leadership of this group regarding the closure of schools for girls.
