Kabul-Jalalabad highway was opened to traffic

Officials of the Ministry of Public Works say that the Kabul-Jalalabad highway has been opened to traffic.

Kabul-Jalalabad highway was closed to traffic yesterday due to heavy rain.

Nangarhar Transport Department officials said that this highway was blocked due to heavy rains and flooding in different places and efforts are underway to reopen it.

This directorate asked travelers to refrain from traveling on this road til the reopening of this highway.

It should be mentioned that the heavy rain and floods in different provinces of the country in the past few days have caused human and financial losses.

The Ministry of Disaster Management announced that as a result of these floods, at least 13 people died and around 20 people were injured.

According to them, as a result of these events, thousands of acres of agricultural land have been destroyed.
