The leader of al-Qaeda was killed by the United States in Afghanistan

According to reports, Ayman al-Zawahiri, the leader of al-Qaeda in Afghanistan, has been killed as a result of the US drone attack on a residential house in Kabul.

The Associated Press news network, quoting several informed sources of the Central Intelligence Agency of the United States of America (CIA), reported that an important anti-terrorist operation attack was carried out in Afghanistan by this country, which was carried out using a drone.

According to this report, a senior official of the American government said: Last weekend, the United States conducted an anti-terrorist operation against an important Al-Qaeda official in Afghanistan. This operation was successful and there were no civilian casualties.

Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid also confirmed this attack in a tweet yesterday and said that a residential house in Kabul was targeted by an American drone attack.

Condemning this attack, he added that this US action is against international principles and disobeys the Doha Agreement.

However, even though the Associated Press report said that the mentioned attack was carried out against the leader of al-Qaeda in Afghanistan, the White House has not yet confirmed that the leader of al-Qaeda was killed in this attack.
