Taliban creates a special gym for women

Officials of the General Directorate of Physical Education and Sports and the National Olympic Committee of the Taliban say that a special sports forum will be created for women in Afghanistan.
Nazar Mohammad Motmaein, acting head of the General Directorate of Physical Education and Sports and the National Olympic Committee, said today at the Government Information and Media Center that a special sports forum will be created for women in the country so that they can continue their sports activities.
He said: We have discussed the issue of creating a special women’s sports complex with the Asian and World Olympics. They have promised to cooperate. The basic works or the design of this complex have been done and God willing, we will have a special women’s sports complex in the future.
He added: In some cases, world sports administrations make excuses and when we participate in world competitions, they ask about the reopening of girls’ schools.
This is while after the restrictions against women in the country, female athletes have faced many problems.
