Officials of Afghanistan and Turkmenistan railways have emphasized on the development of the process of sending Afghan students to Turkmenistan for training in railway issues.

Taliban spokesperson Zabihullah Mujahid wrote in a tweet that the officials of Afghanistan and Turkmenistan railways have decided in a virtual meeting that the process of sending students to train on railway issues will be speeded up and expanded.

Earlier, Bakhtar news agency reported that Turkmenistan is training a number of Afghans in the railway sector.

According to the report, the documents related to these scholarships have been handed over by Khaja Awazov, the ambassador of Turkmenistan in Kabul, to Mullah Bakht al-Rahman Sharafat, the head of the Afghanistan Railway Department.

It should be mentioned that the construction of the railway line between Afghanistan and Central Asia had started during the Republic period, but it was stopped due to security and technical problems.
