The Taliban announced the establishment of the National Procurement Commission

The Economic Vice President of the Taliban Ministry has announced the establishment of the National Procurement Commission under the chairmanship of Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar.
This organization wrote in a tweet that the National Procurement Commission was created based on the decree of Maulvi Hebatullah Akhundzadeh and it is chaired by Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar, the economic deputy of the Deputy Minister of the caretaker government of the Taliban.
The economic deputy of the Taliban Prime Minister’s Office added that the purpose of establishing the aforementioned commission is to ensure transparency, provide effective services, find solutions for procurement problems and organize procurement activities.
According to this institution, the acting ministries of finance and economy and the head of the affairs department are responsible for the membership of this commission.
