Da Afghanistan Bank: More than 3 billion new banknotes have been printed during the last one year

Officials of the Central Bank of Afghanistan say that more than 3 billion 140 million new banknotes have been printed in the last one year.
Ahmad Javad Sadad, head of monetary policy of Da Afghanistan Bank, said in a news conference that during the last year, the amount of 3 billion 140 million 800 thousand Afghanis was printed and during the same year, the amount of 1 billion 100 million Afghanis was distributed to the market.
He added that during the last solar year, Da Afghanistan Bank has collected a total of 8 billion 683 million 244 thousand 419 Afghanis, which shows a 59.5% increase compared to last year.
The head of monetary policy of Da Afghanistan Bank also said that according to the latest statistics, the inflation rate reached 3.5 percent last year, while the inflation rate was 15.3 percent in the previous year.
According to him, in 1401, the value of the Afghani against the dollar increased by 1.01 percent, while the previous year, the value of the Afghani against the dollar showed a decrease of 13.86 percent.
