Afghanistan is among the 10 countries affected by climate change
Entering the third year of drought, Afghanistan has been among the countries that have been severely affected by climate change, after passing through a deadly winter with extreme cold, snow and floods in many parts of the country.
According to the report of the International Rescue Committee (IRC), Afghanistan is the third country that has been affected by climate change after going through a harsh winter, driving people from their homes and destroying their lands and crops.
According to the annual list of the International Rescue Committee, Afghanistan has been placed in the third category of countries affected by climate change in 2023.
“The world’s most vulnerable populations are currently on the front lines of the climate crisis,” said David Miliband, CEO and President of the IRC.
It should be mentioned that last year and several months of this year, Afghanistan has witnessed severe floods and deadly earthquakes, which have killed and injured hundreds of people and destroyed thousands of acres of land.
