The coordination office of the railway project between Afghanistan and Uzbekistan was opened in Tashkent

The Afghanistan Railway Administration has announced the opening of a coordination office for the railway project between Afghanistan and Uzbekistan in Tashkent.

The announcement of the Afghanistan Railway Authority states that this coordination office was opened on Friday in Tashkent, and Mullah Bakht al-Rahman Sharaf, the head of the Afghanistan Railway Authority, and the ambassadors of Afghanistan and Pakistan were present at the opening ceremony.

Afghanistan Railway Authority added that in this office, the representatives of the three countries will jointly coordinate the affairs of the railway project, and there are also plans to establish such offices in Kabul and Islamabad.

The Afghan Railway Administration has also announced the holding of a tripartite meeting of the joint working group of the trans-Afghanistan railway project in Tashkent and said that in this meeting it was agreed that a meeting of high-ranking railway officials will be held in Islamabad next month.

In the continuation of this meeting, the strengthening of rail cooperation and increasing the movement of goods through the Hairatan-Mazar-e-Sharif railway were also discussed.
