Afghanistan’s transportation through railway reached 4.5 million metric tons this year

Afghan railway officials say that a total of 4.5 million metric tons have been transferred through the country’s railways this year.

Bakht al-Rahman Sharaft, General Director of Afghanistan Railways, said in a press conference that during this year, a total of 4.5 million metric tons of transfers were made through Afghanistan Railways, which shows a 25% increase compared to the transfers made last year.

In this conference, Abdul Sami Durrani, the spokesman of the Afghanistan Railway Department, also said that 13 technical employees have been sent to Turkmenistan to improve the capacity of the employees of this department.
