Amnesty International asked Pakistan to stop the forced deportation of Afghan refugees

Amnesty International has asked Pakistan to immediately stop the deportation and persecution of Afghan immigrants.
Amnesty International said in a statement that Pakistan should immediately stop the deportation, harassment and torture of Afghan immigrants and prevent the escalation of this crisis.
“If the Pakistani government does not immediately stop deportations, thousands of at-risk Afghans, especially women and girls, will be denied access to security, education and livelihoods,” Amnesty International’s South Asia Deputy Regional Director Livia Saccardi said in the announcement.
Emphasizing that no one should be subject to mass forced deportation, he asked Pakistan to adhere to international obligations, including the principle of non-refoulement.
Amnesty International said that from November 1 of this year until now, the Pakistani police, in addition to filing cases for illegal immigrants according to the 1946 law, have been directly arresting them.
