679 tons of skin exported to Turkey

Officials at the Herat Department of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock say they exported 35,685 volumes of cowhide to Turkey and 10,000 square meters of carpets to Dubai in 2023.

Mawlawi Mohammad Omar Qased, head of livestock at the Herat Department of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock, said it has imported 7,775 tonnes of Kunjara from Turkey to Herat.

The head of the agriculture department’s livestock also stated that during the past three months, one ton of fake honey, 3870 liters of disinfectant and 137 kilograms of rotten chicken meat were collected from the city and burned by the delegation.

Maulawi Qassad added that they are trying to solve the challenges of the livestock roadblock in Herat province as soon as possible.
