British aid to Afghanistan $36 Million

The World Food Programme (WFP) issued a statement Monday night on February 5 of Britain’s $36.5 million in aid to Afghanistan and said it would be distributed to about two million needy Afghans in the winter.

According to the statement, the aid will be spent on families in need, especially pregnant and nursing women and children.

According to WFP, after the Taliban took over Afghanistan. Britain has provided $209 million to Afghanistan.
