The passport distribution process has been stopped in Daikundi

The local officials of the Islamic Emirate in Daikundi said that the passport distribution process in this province has been stopped due to technical problems.

According to the report of the National Television Authority in Daikundi, which broadcasts under the control of the Islamic Emirate, this process has been stopped this morning (Sunday, 12 Hamal).

Gholam Ali Javed, the spokesman of the Islamic Emirate’s security command in Daikundi, has asked passport applicants not to go to the passport office of this province until further notice.

He did not elaborate on what he said were technical problems.

The process of obtaining a passport in the country is extremely slow. Some citizens of the country say that they have waited more than a year to get a passport.
