The release of 81 children in the month of Ramadan in Kabul

The Children’s Education and Reform Center has reported that 81 children have been released from Kabul prison since the beginning of Ramadan.

Based on these statistics, 28 of them were released on Saturday of the current week after the order of the leader of the Islamic Emirate on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr.

Mohammad Zaman Rahmani, director of the Children’s Training and Correctional Center, says: “Twenty-eight people were released from the correctional center on Saturday, based on the decree of Amirul Momineen and the decision of the Supreme Court of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan.”

Gul Ahmed, a pardoned prisoner, says: “Now that I’m out of here, I’m going to study and go to school.”

At the same time, Habibullah Badr, the deputy director of prison affairs, said that efforts are being made to provide work opportunities for children released from prison.

Mr. Badr said: “Be it to the Ministry of Education, to the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs and to the school, if it is within our power, we will cooperate with them day and night.”

Nazar Mohammad Naseri, the head of the training and correction center, said that various educational fields are provided for the children in this center.

Mr. Naseri added: “We started a six-month course, which will be followed after dismissal, and God willing, the work environment will be favorable for them.”

On Saturday, the leader of the Islamic Emirate issued an order to release more than 2 thousand prisoners, including women, on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr.
