Installation of more than eighty thousand CCTV cameras in the capital

Abdul Matin Qane, the spokesman of the Ministry of Interior, says that they have been able to prevent many criminal crimes in the capital by installing security cameras.

Mr. Qane adds that they are trying to increase the installation of these cameras in the capital and provinces of the country.

The spokesperson of the Ministry of Interior said: “In the center of Kabul, more than 80,000 security cameras have been installed in different parts of the center, crowded and important places, which have had a good effect and we have been able to arrest the criminals on time, or some “Let’s prevent events.”

Some residents of the capital consider the installation of CCTV cameras to be a good move and ask the authorities to pay attention to keeping these cameras active throughout the city.

They also want the caretaker government to expand the process of installing CCTV cameras in other provinces as well.

Velayat Khan, a resident of Kabul, said: “Installation of security cameras provided that they are active, not that they are inactive.” “When there is a robbery, they say that there was no electricity when you see the security camera.”

Seyed Hossein, another resident of Kabul, said: “The cameras installed in the cities prevent theft, terror and robbery in the city.”

However, some experts consider the installation of CCTV cameras in the country as important for improving the security situation.

Mohammad Zalmi Afghanyar, an expert on military issues, said: “The installation of security cameras should be effective for the investigators of criminal crimes and also bring peace of mind to the citizens.”

Earlier, the Ministry of Interior had given statistics that they have installed more than 62,000 security cameras in Kabul city.
