The Cooperation Council of the Persian Gulf and Central Asian countries will hold a joint meeting

The Persian Gulf Cooperation Council announced that a joint meeting of foreign ministers of this council and Central Asian countries will be held in Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan, in two days.

Jassem Al-Badivi; The Secretary General of the Persian Gulf Cooperation Council announced today, Saturday, 25 Hamel, that the meeting will be held on Monday this week. According to him, in this meeting, strategic talks will be held between the foreign ministers of the Cooperation Council countries and Central Asia.

“Al-Khalij Online” media reported that this meeting was chaired by Mohammad bin Abdul Rahman bin Jassim Al Thani; It will be held by the Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Qatar and the Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan, Bakhtiar Saeedof, and in the presence of the foreign ministers of the countries of the Persian Gulf Cooperation Council and Central Asia.

Al-Badivi emphasized that this meeting is held with the desire of both sides with the aim of strengthening and developing the relations between them and striving to strengthen the strategic dialogue and try to take steps towards establishing strong and close relations.

He further said that serving the common interests of the two sides is based on shared values, interests, historical relations and based on the joint action plan in 2027-2023 and signed between the two sides in September 2022.

The Secretary General of the Cooperation Council states that a number of issues related to the strengthening of relations between the two sides and the latest regional and international developments will be discussed in this meeting.

The first strategic dialogue meeting between the ministers of the Cooperation Council and Central Asia was held on September 7, 2023, in Riyadh.
