Restoration of 500 ancient works in the National Museum in 1402

Officials of the National Museum announce the restoration of 500 historical and ancient works last year and say that the restored works include statues, coins and dishes from various periods.

Mohammad Yahya Mohibzadeh, deputy of the National Museum, said: “Restoration and maintenance is the work of our colleagues every day. In one year, I said that if we take into account the year 1402, our colleagues have managed to put five hundred historical and ancient works under the cover of restoration with difficulties.”

The officials of the National Museum are also worried about the lack of materials and equipment for the restoration of historical and ancient works in the country.

Islamuddin, an experienced restorer who has devoted twenty years of his life to this profession, says that these restorations include various works, including works from the Islamic period, which are made of different materials such as stone and mud.

Islamuddin, the restorer, said: “We work in different departments. You can see that this is one of the works that I am working on. This work is also from the Islamic period, and all the works that are made of stone and mud here in this branch of restoration. It will be.”

Mohammad Ghafran Hanafi, the general manager of the National Museum’s Artifacts Restoration Department, said: “We ask the government of the Islamic Emirate to pay more attention to the museum. We do not have advanced equipment in this department, there are no laboratory ventilators, that’s why we are facing problems.”

Before this, the local authorities of Bamyan announced the start of the reconstruction of the second part of Dahhak and Gholghele by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization or UNESCO.
