The beginning of eight development projects worth 44 billion Afghanis in the country

The economic deputy of the Prime Minister’s Office has announced the start of practical work on eight development projects worth more than 44 billion Afghanis in the lunar month (March).

It is stated in the newsletter of the Economic Vice-Chancellor that these projects include the construction of roads, the establishment of factories and projects related to water management.

The start of the Herat-Ghor road project, the construction of the second part of the Kotel Khairkhane road, the Shahid intersection road to Kasbah, the airport road to the customs in Kabul, the establishment of two drug production factories and a non-alcoholic beverage production factory, and the work of the Pashdan Dam is mentioned in this newsletter. They are adapted to the private sector.

Abdul Latif Nazari, deputy minister of the Ministry of Economy, told TOLOnews about these projects: “The eight important projects that were put on the agenda by the Islamic Emirate in the month of Thor are: the transportation sector, the industry sector, and the energy sector. Our goal is to manage the country’s waters and also strengthen pharmaceutical factories, strengthen and build roads and roads.”

However, some experts consider the implementation of development projects to be effective in creating job opportunities in the country.

Shaker Yaqoubi, an expert on economic issues, told TOLOnews: “It is hoped that by implementing the projects, we will provide employment and set the economic wheel in motion.”

Abdulzohor Modbar, another expert on economic issues, said: “Working on development projects can have positive effects on the economy; Including raising GDP and national income.

The Chamber of Industries and Mines of the country has said that for large investments in the country, there is a need to remove banking restrictions.

Sakhi Ahmad Peyman, the first deputy of the Chamber of Industries and Mines, told TOLOnews reporter: “If banking restrictions are reduced and more facilities are provided, it will attract investment.”

The Economic Vice-Chancellorship of the Prime Minister’s Office had already announced in a newsletter the beginning of nine projects worth more than 16 million Afghanis in various sectors in the month of Hamel of the solar calendar year.
