Speakers of parliaments of Iran and Tajikistan met in Dushanbe

Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf, Speaker of Iran’s Parliament, who traveled to Dushanbe yesterday at the head of a parliamentary delegation, met and talked with Rostam Imam Ali, Speaker of Tajikistan’s National Assembly.

According to “Isna” report, Qalibaf said in this meeting: the signing of nearly a hundred political, economic, cultural and parliamentary cooperation documents between Tehran and Dushanbe and the elimination of visas and the facilitation of economic exchanges show the will and determination of the two countries to expand cooperation.

The Speaker of the National Assembly of Tajikistan also expressed: Iran attaches great value and importance to the expansion of cooperation and interactions with regional countries, especially friendly and brotherly countries, and considers it to benefit nations and governments.

It should be noted that Qalibaf’s trip to Tajikistan was done at the invitation of Rostam Imam Ali and Mohammad Taher Zakirzadeh, the presidents of the national assemblies and representatives of Tajikistan, with the aim of consolidating parliamentary relations and facilitating the promotion of economic, cultural and political relations between the two countries.

The international parliamentary conference under the title “30th anniversary of the adoption of the Constitution of the Republic of Tajikistan” will be held today and tomorrow in Dushanbe.
