The meeting and discussion between the heads of parliaments of Türkiye and Azerbaijan in Geneva

Numan Kurtolmoş, the Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, announced on his user account on X that during his visit to Geneva to participate in the 149th General Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union, he met with the Speaker of the National Assembly of Azerbaijan, Sahibe Ghafarova. In this meeting, the Speakers of the Parliaments of Turkey and Azerbaijan expressed their satisfaction with the development of close relations between the two countries in all fields and also reviewed the regional and global developments.

Vertolmoş emphasized: Türkiye always stands by its brother Azerbaijan in all international arenas with full unity and solidarity. Stating that they have mutually mobilized all facilities for the development of the two countries, the Speaker of the Turkish Parliament said: We have seen that both the balance in the Caucasus and the balance in the region are changing, especially after the 44-day victory of Azerbaijan in Karabakh, and this It is also considered a great opportunity for the Turkish world.

Kurtolmush also expressed hope that Karabakh will be settled in a short time and Zangzor Corridor will be opened for the benefit of Azerbaijan, Türkiye and other people of the region.

The Speaker of the National Assembly of Azerbaijan also expressed his satisfaction with this meeting and stated that the mutual dependence of the people of Turkey and Azerbaijan guarantees the continuation of strong cooperation between the two countries in all fields.
