Lavrov: Trump is a pragmatist and seeks to end the war in Ukraine

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has praised US President Donald Trump’s efforts to end the war in Ukraine.

According to Reuters, Lavrov also accused European powers of trying to prolong the conflict.

He added that “Donald Trump is a pragmatist and his motto is common sense, which means that everyone can see a change in US policy.”

Lavrov also clarified that Washington and Moscow will never agree on everything, but can cooperate pragmatically where their interests align.
