Reuters: White House considering easing sanctions on Russia

The British news agency reported, citing sources, that the White House is considering plans to potentially lift some sanctions on Russia.

In this regard, the British news agency Reuters wrote on Monday evening: “The White House has ordered the State Department and the Treasury Department to prepare a list of sanctions that could be eased.

US officials are expected to discuss the list with their Russian counterparts in the coming days as part of broader talks aimed at improving diplomatic and economic relations with Russia.”

The sources, who spoke on condition of anonymity, told the agency that the current proposal includes lifting sanctions on selected individuals and businesses.
