Balkh Trade Delegation Promotes Trade and Investment in Türkiye

The Balkh Chamber of Commerce and Investment says a delegation led by its president, Mohammad Ibrahim Ghazanfar, participated in meetings with the Konya Chamber of Commerce and the Konya Chamber of Industry during an official visit to Türkiye.
The meetings focused on expanding bilateral trade, increasing Afghanistan’s exports, attracting foreign investment, and strengthening cooperation in the fields of industry, agriculture, transit, and technical and vocational education.
Qalandar Rahimi, a board member of the Balkh Chamber of Commerce and Investment, said: “One of the most significant outcomes of this visit was the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the Konya Chamber of Industry and the Mazar-e-Sharif Chamber of Commerce and Investment, which will pave the way for stronger economic relations and cooperation between the two sides.”
Economic analysts described such visits as an important step toward strengthening economic relations, attracting investment, and expanding trade cooperation between Afghanistan and regional countries, particularly Türkiye.
Economic analyst Abdul Zohour Modaber said: “Given its sensitive geopolitical and geostrategic position, Türkiye can play an important role in expanding economic and trade cooperation with countries in the region, including Afghanistan.”
Another economic analyst, Iraj Faqiri, said: “Focusing on bilateral policies and expanding cooperation with neighboring countries can enhance economic resilience and contribute to the success of trade relations.”
The visit comes as the Islamic Emirate continues its efforts to strengthen Afghanistan’s economic ties with regional countries and attract foreign investment.
