Kabul, Bishkek ink agreement to establish Joint Business Council

Afghanistan and Kyrgyzstan have inked an agreement to establish a Joint Business Council during the Afghan-Kyrgyz Business Forum in Bishkek, the Afghan Embassy said on Sunday.
In a post on X, the embassy said the forum was attended by representatives of government institutions, chambers of commerce and the private sectors of both countries.
Afghan Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan Mawlawi Abdul Shakoor Haqqani highlighted the significant potential for expanding trade, investment, transit and economic cooperation between the two countries.
It added that the agreement to establish the Joint Business Council aims to strengthen direct links between traders of the two countries, coordinate joint initiatives and promote and support economic projects.
