Preparations are underway for a meeting of the economic cooperation committees of Turkmenistan and Japan

Today, Turkmenistan’s Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov and Chairman of the Japan-Turkmenistan Economic Cooperation Committee Hiroyuki Tsubai held talks via videoconference.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, the parties discussed preparations for the next meeting of the Turkmen-Japanese and Japanese-Turkmen Committees on Economic Cooperation, also reviewing current and prospective projects in areas such as the gas chemical industry, transport, the circular economy, and others.

The parties reached agreements on the main agenda items, the work program of the Joint Meeting of the Committees on Economic Cooperation, and the preparation of bilateral documents planned for signing following the meeting, the source noted.

As a reminder, the 16th meeting of the Turkmen-Japanese and Japanese-Turkmen Committees on Economic Cooperation will be held in Tokyo on December 14-16.
